In a previous post I suggested reducing your dairy intake to improve overall health. Here is a simple recipe to make your own dairy-free milk from nuts / oats. Yum! Let me know if you try it!

Step 1 – Soak 150g of nuts (almonds or cashews are my fav) or oats for at least 4 hours or overnight.

Step 2 – Rinse them in running water & add to a high speed blender along with 750ml cold, filtered water. Blitz them up! Note – at this stage if you want a sweetened milk, you could add 2 or 3 dates to your taste & blitz them up with the nuts / oats.

Step 3 – Use a nut milk bag (widely available online) or a muslin lined sieve to strain the mix – resulting in yummy creamy dairy-free milk! It will keep for 3 days in the fridge!

Enjoy!
